The booklet An Epitome of Theosophy – epitome meaning ‘perfect example’ – is a description in miniature of the philosophy of Theosophy. Although only 25 pages it was hugely popular and played an important part in the early success of Theosophy in the United States, William Q. Judge describing it as:
“….what the people needed. It is at once comprehensive and fundamental. It covers most of the ground, and if any sincere reader grasps it he will have food for his reflection of the sort needed.”
The Epitome still has the power to help new generations who are wrestling with the same problems and who suffer the same needs. This booklet may be small but being direct and comprehensive it has power to relieve through the healing and teaching of individuals and nations.
