For parents and children of all ages.
11 a.m. to 1 pm on a Sunday now fortnightly.
The meetings are in the Calendar or “Upcoming Events” on the right>>>
Suitable for children of all ages because life should be joyful, valuable and made better through knowledge.
We will read and listen to classic stories from the East & West which develop intelligence, awareness and the ideals of empathy, compassion and discernment.
The Jataka Tales, the Birth Stories of the Buddha
In these tales the animals characters think, act and talk like people while still retaining their animal traits.
They teach common sense, fairness and justice and appeal to both adults and children.
Aesop’s Fables – moral tales from Ancient Greece
Aesop was a Greek slave who wrote his animal stories two hundred years after the Buddha to draw our attention to humanity’s wisdom and foolishness.
Each fable has a moral meaning in simple allegories. We all know of the dependable quiet types, the “steady tortoises,” and of the charming “fast hares” who are the most unreliable of all!
We read and discuss the stories together, remembering their lessons for happy days ahead.
‘Myths and Legends’ is for all children, teens and parents.
These classic stories teach the perennial wisdom about man and nature.
We have been long-established & events are always free.
Small donations are welcome but are not necessary.

Theosophy is the wisdom that reconciles the world’s religions, sciences and philosophies through the study of Nature and teaching the universal ethics of karma, reincarnation and the unity of life.
The United Lodge of Theosophists was established in London in 1925 to support non-sectarian education that gives freedom of thought and wisdom about how to live one’s life well.
The Sunday morning volunteer staff have primary and other teaching experience, as well as QTS & DBS certification.
